Who We Are
The Oeder Foundation was established in memory of Darryl “Snake” Oeder – a man whose life overflowed with generosity, strength, and a relentless belief in the future. Inspired by his legacy, we are a purpose-driven nonprofit committed to help those in our local community who are afflicted by brain cancer and other neurological brain conditions, while still investing in the future of education and adaptive giving.
Our work is guided by three core pillars:

Advancing Brain Health – We provide direct support to individuals and families navigating brain-related illnesses, fund research into institutions and innovative treatments, and raise public awareness around brain health and care.

Investing in Education – We believe that early education shapes lives and futures. Through tuition assistance for private elementary and secondary school students, we lay the groundwork for a stronger world – and healthier minds.

Adapting for Tomorrow – We remain flexible, ready to respond to evolving needs and emerging challenges, always aligned with our mission to uplift lives and help those in our community.

Our Event
Every year, we gather for Darryl “Snake” Oeder’s Country Jamboree – a high-spirited celebration rooted in the things that Snake loved most: live country music, great food, cold drinks, good laughs, and the joy of bringing people together to have a good time.
However, the Jamboree is more than a mere gathering ... it’s a chance to celebrate a one-of-a-kind man while also being a force for good!
What began as a tribute to a beloved husband, father, and friend has become a powerful driver of impact – raising critical funds, pushing research and innovation, and supporting families affected by brain cancer and neurological illness in their toughest moments in life. Each ticket sold, each auction bid, each sponsorship, and each dance onto the barn floor helps us move closer to a future with better treatments, wider awareness, and real relief to those in our community.
This event is our way of turning grief into generosity, loss into action, and memory into momentum. It’s how we honor Snake’s legacy – with grit, gratitude, and a whole lot of country soul.
